Happiest Hour
Spanning 12,000 square feet, and two levels of space, Happiest Hour is located within walking distance to several sports and arts venues, and is known as the destination for all things spirit-lifting. Its indoor and outdoor bliss features garden games, 25 TVs, and 50 beers on tap for the ultimate spot to gather amongst friends, family, or colleagues. Its rooftop is known as Fanciest Hour and provides a lounge-like feel with live music that resonates with pure nightlife.
Summary
The Food Runner for Happiest Hour assists the wait staff by delivering food to guests. They are responsible for ensuring the dish is presented correctly and are required to answer any questions about the food. They are aware of any changes in the menu and are knowledgeable about the items being served. They deliver an excellent fine-dining experience by providing great customer service. They follow all operational policies and procedures set by Harwood Hospitality Group training manual.
Job Functions
Operations
- Assist the other servers by maintaining menu presentation and table setting; replenish utensils and water glasses as needed.
- Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ensures a spotless service is delivered to all guests, and that their needs and expectations are fulfilled to the highest level.
- Ensure unit is well maintained and that all equipment, materials and utensils are in perfect working condition. Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services. Reports any defect to the Restaurant Manager.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant manager, servers, and host/hostess as appropriate to ensure the guest experience is as enjoyable and effortless as possible.
- Must be TIPS certified or similar State requirement.
- Follow HHG food and beverage standards and procedures, using HHG training manual.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and monitor those actions of others.
- Must be pleasant, hospitable, and attentive to guests.
- Assists servers with the following, but not limited to providing dishes to customers, deliver food to tables, check food for accuracy, prepare soups and salads when required, replenish food and beverages, clean tables and work areas, wash dishes and assist in food preparation, transport trays of soiled dishes.

Sanitation and Equipment
- Ensure that staff maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and HHG requirements.
- Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and restaurant requirements.
- Instruct staff in the correct usage and care of all machinery in the kitchen operation, stressing safety.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety policies.
Meetings & Communication
- Be available for any Restaurant mandatory meeting or training.
- Ensures a smooth communication with all direct reports and other Restaurants Managers/supervisors

Required Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred
- Must be able to speak and understand English as a primary language.
- Upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude required
- Texas Food Handler Certification
- Previous experience in a similar setting/role is strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required
- Professional demeanor is always required
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills required

- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
