General Summary/Overview

Performs a variety of duties including but not limited to answering inquiries and obtain information from general public customers visitors and other interested parties. Provides information regarding activities conducted at Brown Health location of departments offices and employees within the organization. Performs in accordance with the facility�s policies and procedures. Follows the facility�s standards for ethical business conduct. Conducts self as a positive role model and team member. Participates in facility committees meetings in-services and activities.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Acts as an interface between customers and the company in a friendly and professional manner. Greets person entering the establishment determine nature and purpose of their visit and direct them to their destination. Verifies that all visiting vendors present company identification have a scheduled appointment with appropriate departments and is issued a visitors pass to be worn at all times on the premises. Ensure that a staff member from the appropriate department receives the vendor.
  • Efficiently manages the amount of time spent with each customer to fairly distribute time while providing service.
  • Proactively attempt to resolve customer inquiries and complaints according to company policies and procedures. Explain rules policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Complies complaint records by category department office and notifies department supervisor of patters and problems to use as feedback for customer service improvements.
  • Maintain up to date reference materials and files regarding LIFESPAN
  • S departments and services.
  • Use independent judgment and initiative in a variety of situations when performing duties.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
  • Remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations as they become necessary.
  • Participate in education/training programs pertinent to the job. Attend staff meetings and in service education programs as requested.
  • Presents a positive attitude and a professional appearance. Compliance with the dress code policy.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of prior front desk experience in a customer service environment. Bilingual skills considered a plus.

Skills And Abilities Required

Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery; do what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction; deal with service failures and prioritize customer needs. Able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding issue; able to use reason even when dealing with emotional topics; review facts and weigh options. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Able to act in accordance with established guidelines; follow standard procedures.

Working Conditions

The work environment is one of a typical office work environment. Extensive computer work such as data entry verifying system data correcting and updating information is necessary for maintaining databases and preparing statistical reports. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to sit walk; stand; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. May be exposed to various patient conditions including infectious diseases blood and bodily fluids.
