Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our hotel and restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management and team leadership. For more information, please review our website at hasbrouckhouseny.com.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the list below.
Company Management :
- Collaboration with AGM on creating and improving systems throughout the company, including SOPs, record keeping, digital systems (POS, PMS, Scheduling, etc.)
- Creation of company policies that are in line with company brand
- Leadership of the management team, including assisting with high-level internal and external issues when needed
- Approval of large spending needs (i.e. maintenance) with the AGM
Reporting & Accounting Responsibilities :
Execute bi-monthly payroll for the hotel, and weekly payroll for the restaurantManage all accounts payable and receivableRun Weekly Sales reports through the PMS and POS systems to compare weekly sales from prior years.Develop quarterly budgets with the Director of Accounting and Owner.Day to day coverage of bookkeeping and accounting needs for the hotel reporting to the Director of Accounting.Execution of monthly Profit Loss statements to review with the management team to identify weaknesses in spending and revenueRestaurant Hotel Sales / Creative Responsibilities :
Ensure timely updates of menu and bar program with Restaurant and Hotel Management TeamsIdentify, seek out and maintain relationships with local businesses and key people in the surrounding area to increase the hotel’s visibility in the community.Weekly communication to Director of Marketing and Assistant General Manager highlighting goals achieved and addressing needs for supportDevelop sales goals and objectives for the hotel and restaurantCollaboration with Director of Marketing and on programming, partnerships, curation of in-house materialsAssist in the creation of online marketing strategies to generate more hotel awareness and drive increased website revenues.In conjunction with the hotel and restaurant management team, develop seasonal promotional packages, activities, and onsite amenities.Event / Group Sales Responsibilities :
Ability to understand and communicate key information in the negotiation and contract stages including a strong understanding of company policies.Execution of venue and catering contractsWork with management and marketing teams to develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.Maintain accurate, legible records and files to provide sales history and continuity of quality service.Handling of billing and invoicing for clients, keeping up to date records with the assistance of events staffMaintaining a detailed payment calendar for all current bookingsCollaborate with Marketing Director and Assistant General Manager on future sales strategies, including improvements to our offerings.Experience :
Minimum 5 years proven experience in restaurant and hotel management with a focus on customer service and quality controlStrong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and menu developmentSales experience a strong plusDemonstrated expertise in training, development, and team managementFamiliarity with restaurant hotel and industry trends, competition analysis, and marketing strategiesExperience with GSuite, POS systems, PMS systems, payroll systems, and Quickbooks strongly preferredPay : $80,000.00 per year
