What You’ll Be Doing
The Accountant for Hasen is detailed and proactive. This role requires an ambitious, hands-on person willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with unique financial data. This individual will be responsible for overseeing onboarding and payroll, and conducting other tasks related to finance. They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports.
Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee the onboarding and payroll process for the company utilizing iSolved HRM and payroll software
- AP and AR job cost analysis in Sage 300 CRE
- Assist management in preparing budgets and forecasts by providing accurate financial data and insights
- Participate in the month end closing process, to include journal entry preparation and balance sheet account reconciliation
- Provide accounting support to field personnel
- File periodic state tax reports as well as work as the liaison to review and tax CPA firm
- Provide timely and precise financial reports, including P&L, actuals, job cost analysis, and detailed financial schedules
- Understand our business and help the company with growth planning
- Other duties and projects as needed
Desired Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years of extensive hands-on experience managing daily accounting tasks, including managing payroll, journal entries, cost analysis, financial close and reconciling bank statements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP and IFRS)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Eager to learn new skills and technologies
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Experience working in a subsidiary of a parent company is an advantage
- Ability to take initiative and employ good judgment
