Dr. Scott Carpenter and our three Nurse Practitioners, Jeanne Cason, Jordan Earle, and Amy Pennington, see patients for management of acute and chronic illness, as well as performing annual wellness visits. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Medical Assistant at Haskell Rural Health Clinic in Haskell, TX.
The Clinic LVN duties include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing Medical Assistants
- Assisting when needed with patient intakes, including:
- Vital signs
- Reason for visit
- Updating medication list
- Entering data and patient information into Electronic Medical Records
- Communicating with providers
- Responding to patient voicemails and answering patient calls
- Obtaining prior authorizations for medications
- Ordering durable medical equipment
- Communicates well with patients and other clinic staff
- Entering orders into electronic medical records
- Calling in prescriptions
- Graduate of accredited nursing school
- Current and unencumbered TX nursing license
- Current Basic Life Support or other approved CPR certification
- Must be able to pass background check and clear drug screen
- Previous clinic experience preferred
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications for MA:
- Current and unencumbered MA certification in TX

- Time management skills are a MUST!
