4 Day work week Monday - Thursday
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the building principal, the Behavior Coach will support students and staff to ensure a safe, orderly school environment. The Behavior Coach will work closely with administrators and staff to effectively implement and monitor the school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist staff in collecting and analyzing student behavior data.
- Assists staff in the planning, modeling and implementation of behavior strategies/plans.
- Assists the building administrator in responding to Tier II and Tier III referrals.
- Observes student behaviors in the classroom and general school environment.
- Provides written input regarding interventions and support for student behavior.
- Attends meetings as requested.
- Participates in in NCI-CPI (Crises Intervention) when needed.
- Prepares and maintains records and reports as requested and in compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
- Works directly with students in a variety of settings to support their acquisition of appropriate behavior and social skills.
- Trains staff in effective practices in response to student behavior.
- Other job related duties as assigned
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Counselor or therapeutic certification, preferred
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Master’s degree in Administration or Counseling, preferred
- Minimum five (5) years teaching experience, preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

- Computer Skills – Demonstrated competency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and typing.

- Math Ability – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to interpret assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms. Ability to apply reason to research and solve moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee occasionally will stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Employee will frequently interact with the public and other staff members. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Salary : $44,686 - $54,951
