Hastings Insurance is currently looking for a Senior Loss Control Consultant to join its Field Commercial Operations team! This position assists Hastings Insurance in maintaining its profitability and meeting company objectives. The consultant will conduct loss control surveys and submit reports to support the underwriting decision-making process, including surveys of more complex accounts. Tasks include providing services that assist policyholders with the identification and control of risks and support their risk management process.
Position Location & Work Format
This position is remote-based, with the individual working from home and traveling to locations to conduct site surveys of Hastings commercial and farm accounts physical property and equipment. A company vehicle, laptop, cell phone, and other necessary equipment will be provided. Work will generally be conducted Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. However, given the nature of the role, work outside of these hours may occur.
This position will serve our policyholders throughout Wisconsin. Candidates must reside, or be able to relocate to, the territory in which they serve. For this position the ideal candidate will reside in either the Madison or Milwaukee metro areas.
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts loss control surveys for written or prospective farm and commercial accounts and prepares a survey report that will assist an underwriter with the underwriting decision. These can include services for large and complex commercial or farm operations.
Plans, organizes, leads, and directs loss control activities for multiple policyholders simultaneously.
Assists in implementing effective loss control measures, designed to eliminate or reduce potential hazards.
