SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Description

Basic Functions:

Position requires at least one (1) year or more of hands-on experience and extensive knowledge related to; troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of electrical and heating/cooling (HVAC) equipment and plumbing. Must maintain a neat, clean appearance and demonstrate polite, professional behavior.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service

Accessory installation and maintenance

Perform jobs and make decisions independently

Pool and spa equipment Service/Repairs/Installations

Project management - ability to lead a crew while performing difficult jobs that require multiple people

Perform accurate estimates in the field for standard parts and services

Communicate with the customer regarding all services performed and clearly present all options for any required repairs, upgrades or other customer needs.

Planning Activities:

1. Work with Inventory Department to ensure vehicles are properly stocked for jobs
2. Coordinate daily job schedules with Service Manager
3. Ability to manage and coordinate Special Projects
4. Maintain high level of organization to ensure jobs are completed efficiently

Problem-Solving Activities:

1. Ability to diagnose and repair pool equipment

2. Ability to make independent decisions while acting in the best interest of the company as well as the customers

Requirements

1. High School degree/GED
2. Technical certifications
3. Certified Pool and Spa (CPO) certification

Essential:

1. At least one year of advanced technical service, repair and maintenance experience
