Job Title: Training and Exercise Support (CDL Required)

Reports to: Hatalom Corporation Site Lead Position
Training and Exercise support responsibilities include:
Pre-Exercise/ Deployment
• Conducts system preparation to include communication network system configuration, documentation, system allocation and tests.
• Engages and informs the Support team and System development team prior to deployment of technical requirements, status, and any technical issues.
Exercise Support
• In support of the Site Lead, plans, resources, and leads the technical support to all phases of an exercise.
• Executes the communications plan.
• Conducts troubleshooting and initiates corrective actions on communication network and equipment.
• Assists with the compilation of After-Action Review (AAR) data and raw material for the customer Take Home Package.
• Tests and ensures that AAR terminals and MCTIS System Analyst terminals are in a working state.
• Conducts performance monitoring of all components of the system.
• Designs buildings on maps using Building Set Up tool and transposes any 3D buildings into relevant exercises.
• When required assists with establishing WISE connectivity for 3rd party plug ins.
• Manage de-confliction and supervise the movement of communications nodes in support of exercise activity.
Post Exercise
• Reports all technical issues as part of the Post Exercise Report and follows up actions in line with NCR procedures.
• Ensures that the system is in a clean and proper working condition at the close of any event.
Administration
• Coordinates and communicates all system upgrades to the Support Team.
• Maintains a risk register of all mission critical equipment and informs the Program Manager if damage or deficiencies could affect training delivery.
• Keeps up to date with new technology and operating procedures.
• Is prepared to support any training, exercise, maintenance, and marketing events both locally and out of state.
• Contributes to internal and external program meetings such as Progress Meetings with
customers if required.
Other
• Majority of FoFTS-Next exercises will take place outside of Oceanside, California. Requirement to travel out of state for up to 3 weeks at a time to support exercise.
• Attend training in the CONUS or OCONUS as required.
• When required, surge to other locations in support of MCTIS exercises, whether that be to support Non-Homesite Installation Training or support of the conduct of an SLTE or MWX at another USMC installation for up to 3 weeks
Experience and Skills:
• Extensive network and computer experience (3 years of experience)
• Mast work experience
• Microwave link experience.
• The preferred candidate is USMC communications and/or network NCO or higher (8 years of military experience)
• Standard Driver License
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Ability to receive and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Forklift certificate (optional)
• CDL driving license (optional)
Physical Requirements: (if applicable)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Potential for extreme weather conditions (over 90 degrees, or below 30 degrees)
