Summary:
The Vehicle Communication Data/Network Maintenance Instructor will be responsible for delivering advanced technical training to U.S. service members on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Mobile Modular Command and Control (C2) systems installed on the ACV C2 platform. These systems provide access to secure and non-secure networks including SIPRnet, NIPRnet, and mission-specific communications platforms. The instructor will support instruction on tactical and enterprise communication suites and network fundamentals and will guide service members through key functions related to COMSEC, crypto key loading, and network troubleshooting using Cisco, Microsoft, and other DoD-authorized systems. *Position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide instruction on the operation, internetworking fundamentals, configuration, and maintenance of C2 and network systems on the ACV C2 platform.
- Lead hands-on training in diagnostic testing, fault isolation, LRU removal/replacement, and system/subsystem repair.
- Deliver training on communication suites supporting SIPRnet, NIPRnet, and mission-specific enclaves.
- Instruct students on Microsoft-based curriculum and CCNA-aligned content (Modules 1, 2, and 3), MS Exchange/Server, and other authorized cyber network systems.
- Conduct training on PMCS, inspection, and maintenance tasks as outlined in technical references for ACV FoV communication suites.
- Maintain and update assigned training periods, lesson plans, and curriculum documentation.
- Provide day-to-day coordination for provisioning of symmetric/asymmetric key products for C4 and C2 systems.
- Fill cryptographic keys in electronic encryption devices, submit frequency requests, and manage secure communications configurations.
- Serve as the NETT point of contact on all matters related to COMSEC and Crypto Controlled Items (CCI), inventory management, and equipment readiness.
- Assist with COMSEC policy implementation, KMI procedures training, and ensure compliance with key material handling and accountability.
- Support material control, inventory reconciliation, and technical data management for communications equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of data and voice networking fundamentals, including internetworking concepts, configuration management, and diagnostics.
- Experience instructing tactical or enterprise communication systems in a military training environment.
- Familiarity with ACV FoV communication systems and Mobile Modular C2 suites.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend technical English, including language related to encryption, networking, diagnostics, and system integration.
- Proficient in conducting PMCS, inspecting communication components, and performing field-level maintenance tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft-based systems, MS Exchange/Server, and Cisco CCNA (Modules 1–3) content.
- Familiarity with COMSEC practices, key loading, and frequency management for secure communications systems.
- Experience in coordinating KMI practices and maintaining COMSEC program integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience training U.S. Marine Corps personnel or supporting DoD network/COMSEC systems.
- Certification in CCNA, CompTIA Security , or Microsoft systems.
- Completion of a formal military instructor training course.
- Experience supporting or instructing on ACV C2 platforms or similar systems.
