Job Summary:
Hatboro-Horsham High School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher to cover CP (College Prep) Introduction to Probability & Statistics and Honors Algebra II for an extended period. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction, maintain classroom structure, and support students’ academic progress in alignment with the school's curriculum and policies.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver daily math lessons based on provided curriculum or create lesson plans as needed.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, and tests.
- Provide individualized support to students who need additional assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).
- Valid teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience in mathematics preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in learning.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and curriculum requirements

The classes are 9th grade CP (college prep), Intro to Prob Stat and 10th grade Honors Algebra II.
