Position Overview :
As Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company. The primary focus of this position will be accounts payable, billing, accounts receivable, and sales tax compliance. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in construction accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accounts Payable :
Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
Prepare and issue client invoices according to contract terms, including progress billing, retention, and final billings.
Prepare and file sales tax returns in accordance with state and local requirements.
Stay current on applicable tax regulations and ensure the company remains compliant with changing tax laws.
