Our client is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join their growing litigation practice. They are looking for a highly motivated attorney with 3-5 years of experience who is eager to take on challenging, high-stakes litigation matters in a collaborative and supportive environment. This position is available in their Stamford, New Haven, or New York office locations.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Litigation Associate, you will play an integral role in a variety of complex disputes across multiple industries. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all aspects of litigation from case inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Representing clients in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and administrative hearings.
- Drafting persuasive motions and legal memoranda, including dispositive motions, discovery motions, and appellate briefs.
- Taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
- Conducting in-depth legal research and case analysis to develop litigation strategies.
- Assisting with trial preparation and participating in courtroom proceedings.
- Negotiating settlements and engaging in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) to achieve favorable client outcomes.
- Interfacing directly with clients, in-house counsel, and opposing counsel to provide strategic litigation advice.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a talented litigator with a strong academic background and a passion for advocacy.
Basic Qualifications:
- J.D. from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- 3-5 years of litigation experience at a leading law firm or reputable litigation boutique.
- Judicial clerkship experience preferred (federal or state appellate).
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Admission to the Connecticut or New York bar (or eligibility for admission).
- Preferred Experience (Not Required but a Plus):
- Prior experience in complex commercial litigation, class actions, securities litigation, or regulatory investigations.
- Exposure to litigation in financial services, healthcare, technology, real estate, or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with e-discovery and case management tools.
