What Is a Director of Business Development? Director of business development is a high-level sales role. In this position, your main responsibilities are to find growth opportunities for your company by developing new and existing client relationships. You manage a sales team.
Director of Business Development
- Develop and implement strategies for cultivating leads, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the event, e-commerce platform, nonprofit, amusement / recreation, festival, financial services, and government sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners events, e-commerce platform, nonprofit, amusement / recreation, festivals, financial services, and government sectors.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively communicate our value proposition.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to close deals
- Work closely with internal support teams to ensure alignment and maximize sales opportunities.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet or exceed targets.
- Stay informed about industry developments, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our offerings.
Qualifications
Salary is between 100-125K and with commissions, the OTE is 250-275L
