Sr Engineer, High Voltage Cable Design
The Senior Engineer, High Voltage Cable Design will be responsible for designing and analyzing underground high-voltage transmission cable systems, developing engineering solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design complete high-voltage cable systems, including grounding details, bonding schemes, and fiber optic components for voltage classes up to 500kV.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the electro-mechanical behavior of high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) cable systems.
- Develop engineering drawings, production specifications, and technical documentation to meet customer requirements.
- Lead technical presentations and training sessions for clients and industry forums.
- Support manufacturing processes, including test planning and troubleshooting production issues.
- Drive Research & Development (R&D) initiatives to enhance cable systems and materials.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, AEIC, and NEC standards.
- Work closely with sales, project management, and installation teams to provide engineering support.
