As a Surgical Tech - Clinical Lab Instructor, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality education and hands-on training to students pursuing a career in surgical technology, including conducting lectures, facilitating lab sessions, and providing clinical support and feedback.
Surgical Tech - Clinical Lab Instructor
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging clinical lab sessions for surgical technology students.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning and skill enhancement.
- Collaborate with academic staff to ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and best practices.
- Mentor students, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in surgical technology and integrate them into lab instruction.
Qualifications
Full-time Faculty Lab Instructor requirements include:
- AA degree in anything
- Graduated in a surgical tech program
- 36 months working in an Operating Room (OR) (not leadership unless it’s teaching)
- Surgical Tech 1 year experience
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from a nationally recognized and accredited credentialing agency NCCT or BTSA
- 6am -230pm M-Thurs Friday is open lab on campus half day
- No On-call
- Free College Education
- L: Tucson Arizona (up to $3500 available for relocation reimbursement)
Onboarding is detailed and excellent: detailed Orientation then takes a class to teach and train instructors over the next week(s)
