We are looking for an individual who can work independently while at the same time possessing the ability to use common sense to accomplish the tasks required efficiently and effectively. Someone who is self-motivated and willing to step in and help out wherever necessary.
Summary
As a Janitor on the Production Floor, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Your core skills in cleaning, janitorial and custodial experience, and floor care will ensure that production areas meet high cleanliness standards. You will utilize your relevant skills in industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance, along with your knowledge of power tools and hand tools, to perform various tasks efficiently. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will contribute to the overall productivity and safety of our operations through effective time management and attention to detail.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Keeping bathrooms and lunchroom areas clean and sanitized.
- Cleaning, stripping, and waxing floors.
- Empty all trashcans.
- Running and maintaining floor machines.
- Ordering of all cleaning supplies.
- Keeping the shop area clean and safe.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $18.75 per hour
