- All applicants must submit a copy of their transcript (official or unofficial) and a cover letter with their application to be considered**
- Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a degree in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, etc.), Business, Economics or Finance
- Minimum of a cumulative 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Experience as part of the university consulting club with strong academic record
- Demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
- Strong leadership initiative, commitment to excellence and personal growth.
- Keen interest in mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure and supporting technical and business management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, and brings forward solutions for our clients' toughest challenges
- Demonstrates initiative, with a self-starter attitude
- Ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges
- Adapts and embraces change
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite, experience with PowerPoint
- Strong Excel skills
- Developing and/or assisting in the preparation of cost models, financial models or business cases for projects and initiatives, for external clients and within Hatch
- Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources and reconciling conflicts
- Deconstructing high level information to identify the underlying fundamental drivers and aggregating detailed information to inform a holistic understanding
- Proactively communicating and collaborating with internal customers to analyze information needs and deliver written reports, presentations, and verbal reports, as needed
- Collating and summarizing information using data collected from existing data sources, document analysis, workshops, surveys, and business process descriptions
- Preparing cases and scenarios to assist analysts and consultants
- Collaborating with subject matter experts to analyze tradeoffs between planned objectives and business performance needs
- Assisting with administrative support, as required
- Successfully managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to apply your skills to challenging, interesting, and meaningful projects, while working alongside other highly intelligent and motivated people
