FOH/BOH Team Member

Hatchet Coffee is a local café and roastery in Boone North Carolina that serves delicious and consistent whole bean coffee, coffee beverages, and food to the High Country 7 days a week. We place a great emphasis on overwhelming hospitality and intentional stewardship over our products.

Our cafe position consists of giving customers an amazing experience, taking and executing orders promptly and thoroughly, having full knowledge of our menu offerings, keeping items behind the bar stocked and prepped, cleaning all areas of the café, putting away deliveries, and keeping the merchandise area organized and restocked.

Our shifts are about 6 hours each, and we require part time employees to work at least 3 shifts (18 hours) per week and full time employees to work 5 shifts per week (30 hours). We are busiest on weekends and on/around holidays so we also require availability during those times.

• Loves coffee and helping customers find their perfect cup
• Thinks outside of the box and is a problem solver
• Can stand for 6-8 hours at a time
• Is committed to working weekends and on/around holidays

• Is self driven and focused
• Can perform quality control to ensure that each customer is getting the best product possible

Our employees start at $14-$15 per hour including our base pay and tips. In addition to wage and tips, our employees receive a Hatchet discount, a discount to local businesses, a free membership to Center45 climbing gym, free shifts drinks and food, and free whole bean coffee to take home.

We don't require our employees to have prior coffee experience, although an interest in coffee is expected and previous customer service and/or service industry experience is a plus.
