- Client is looking for a strong and enthusiastic Android Mobile Developer to join client dynamic Application Engineering team to develop and enhance client applications on Android platforms.
- As a Senior mobile engineer, candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications including work on improving the architecture.
- Candidate will work closely with other Engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-friendly mobile solutions
- Design, develop and maintain mobile applications for Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate and Assist in the entire application lifecycle, including concept, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs to ensure optimal application performance.
- Perform unit testing and ensure the robustness, reliability, and performance of applications.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Implement mobile development best practices to ensure high code quality and performance.
- Adhere to security and data protection guidelines for mobile applications
- 6 plus years knowledge in Native mobile app development.
- Mandatory Native Android development, knowing cross platform frameworks including but not limited to iOS, Flutter, React Native, multiplatform is a plus.
- In depth understanding of programming languages like Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose
- Strong experience building and maintaining Android libraries via Gradle/Maven
- Working Knowledge of Unit and Android Tests.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Android UI design principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Solid understanding of mobile app design patterns like - MVC, MVP, Delegation, Singleton, Factory, MVVM pattern, Clean Architecture, Viper etc.
- Strong experience collaborating with designers and UX experts to create great user experiences.
- Building Android Modules, SDKs, Framework is plus.
- Working Knowledge of Unit and Automated testing using Espresso UI Automation
- Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Fastlane and using version control tools like Git, Gitlab.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies/challenges.?

- Skill Matrix – Candidates previously interviewed are unable to articulate the skills as per what they have mentioned in the skill matrix, specifically with Clean Architecture / MVVM and Jetpack compose (Data population).
- Please continue sending the skill matrix as its required along with the coding test/document.
- Coding Test – There is no specific platform to conduct coding test using Jetpack compose, if suppliers can get the candidates screened internally through someone who is working into mobile development environment, that could be a great checkpoint.
- Else, please have them create mini projects using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose which would be helpful for the 1st round of interview.
- The manager has given some leverage to use internet but not AI, during 1st round of coding test, the manage checks upon the skills as well as what approach and architecture the candidate is going to use.
- The hiring manager will make a decision collectively based on all given areas.
- As soon as client receives coding results, client will start scheduling screenings calls, please send coding result/documents on the same submission email trail.
- Skills - Clean Architecture / MVVM and Jetpack compose are the two areas where candidates were lacking majorly during 1st round of interviews happened, please do check all the highlighted skills given by the manager along with these 2 to source better candidates.
- Location (Plano, TX) - Please submit candidates who are willing to come onsite 5 days a week, the candidate needs to come onsite whenever required.
- This candidate will be a part of the new project called 24MM to support software development for the release of client vehicles cars by the end of 2025.
- They will be working on a Global project which supports multiple countries i.e. OneApp and will be working on the client side/applications as this team will be responsible for supporting client side.
- Kotlin and Jetpack Compose are must haves and bare minimum to be considered for this position.
- Candidates need to have Android Studio Developer Set Up as there will be a coding test in the 1st round of interview.
- While submitting candidates please get the attached skill template filled from the candidate and send it along with the submission details, they would need to rate themselves under marks obtained column out of 5 in various technologies used.
