- Candidates must live within a 1-hour/50-mile commuting distance of Harrisburg, PA.
The Asset Manager will serve as a backup Asset Manager and assist in managing and maintaining asset tracking systems. The role involves developing and implementing processes for managing software, hardware, and equipment throughout their lifecycle. The Asset Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, and performing regular audits of asset data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes for tracking and analyzing the lifecycle of assets, including software, hardware, and equipment.
- Provide operational support for asset management modules in BMC Remedy and ServiceNow.
- Conduct annual inventory audits to ensure asset management consistency.
- Perform bulk uploads and updates of asset data, ensuring accuracy.
- Identify and audit asset data discrepancies and maintain asset-related foundation data.
- Create and generate reports on asset usage and status for both users and management.
- Manage asset-related accounts, site information, hardware and software categorizations, and support groups.
- Participate in user acceptance testing and manage licensing for the Asset Management Module.
- Create end-user documentation and provide training to users as needed.
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience as an Asset Manager.
- 2 years of experience with BMC Remedy (version 20.02) or a similar ITSM tool.
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and asset management best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and meeting management skills.
- Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality results.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with experience collaborating across IT departments.
