Key responsibilities
- Evaluate current operational procedures, identify inefficiencies, and propose strategies to achieve operational excellence
- Builds relationships and collaborates with business units, development teams, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze and prioritize requests
- Ensures that complex requirements are executable, testable, complete and not ambiguous
- Documents and elicits requirements through user stories, use cases, process flow diagrams, etc.
- Technical skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Viso and Jira (or similar tool)
- Experience on a variety of simple to complex projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to elicit and document requirements in a clear and concise manner
- Must be able to communicate to all levels in an organization, strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, flexible, proactive and willing to take ownership
- Flexible in adjusting to demands and challenges, with ability to work at a fast pace, in a high-volume environment and meet tight deadlines
- Experience and commitment to identify and drive improvements to existing processes
- Experience with Agile methodology
- At least 5 years in a business analyst role
- Ability to analyze data within systems and understand workflow
- Familiar with data analysis tools and software
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including IT
- Functional understanding of technology
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Claims processing knowledge and large program experience
