The candidate will be responsible for leading data security initiatives within cloud environments and cybersecurity teams, focusing on data governance, classical security measures, and cloud technology. This position is essential for ensuring the protection of data across cloud platforms and will work closely with teams to implement secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data security efforts within cloud environments, focusing on data governance and classical tagging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, architects, and senior leadership, to drive cloud security projects.
- Implement and coordinate public cloud security solutions, ensuring data is protected through encryption and other security protocols.
- Work on data-at-rest encryption, cryptography algorithms, and related data security technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, particularly in the finance sector and other regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, utilities, government).
- Facilitate decision-making and action planning for complex security implementations.
- Provide concise, high-level summaries of security threats and risks for executive decision-making.
- Utilize Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies for project management and process improvement.
- 3 years of project management and/or business analysis experience within cloud environments.
- Proven experience in public cloud implementation, execution, and coordination.
- Strong understanding of cloud technology and cloud security concepts.
- Familiarity with cryptography algorithms, data encryption, and other data security techniques.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.
- Proficiency with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical teams at all levels of the organization.
- Direct experience in information/cybersecurity or working closely with cybersecurity teams.
- Cloud, Risk, and/or Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, CCSK).
- Cloud certifications specific to Azure, Google, or AWS.
- PMP certification.
- In-depth understanding of information security threats, industry best practices, and relevant security tools.
- Project Management in cloud environments.
- Public cloud implementation and security coordination.
- Understanding of cloud security and data governance concepts.
- Experience in regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or utilities.
- Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
