Key Responsibilities
- Data Maintenance: Update and maintain roadway attribute data within the TxDOT custom spatial database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Process Adherence: Follow documented workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to deliver high-quality data with minimal errors.
- Coordination: Work closely with District staff and other agency personnel to assist in the maintenance and updating of roadway data.
- Data Analysis: Review, analyze, and summarize relevant documents to support data integrity and accuracy.
- Content Development: Assist in developing and maintaining content for internal SharePoint wiki pages, contributing to knowledge sharing and documentation efforts.
- Collaboration: Utilize the Microsoft Product Suite, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, to coordinate tasks and manage projects effectively.
- Additional Tasks: Perform related work as assigned, contributing to various data-driven projects and initiatives.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Data Science, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational qualifications.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis, data maintenance, and data entry tasks.
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with the Oracle environment.
- Experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and related analysis.
- Knowledge of geospatial concepts, data, and platforms/software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Esri Portal.
- Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) and/or Python scripting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with governmental agencies and coordinate with internal staff.
