We are seeking an AWS Cloud Application Developer with a strong background in modern web technologies, including React, Next.js, Material UI, and cloud-based development on AWS. This role is integral to the development of a cloud-based management program and will involve collaboration with a cross-functional team throughout the entire software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience in building scalable, high-performance applications and a strong understanding of the legal domain, particularly in developing information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Development: Collaborate within an Agile team using the Disciplined Agile Methodology to deliver high-quality software solutions. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Full Software Development Life Cycle: Engage in all phases of development, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of the management program.
- Application Development: Design, code, debug, and test application software and reports. Work primarily with C#, .NET Core, and Entity Framework Core to create robust applications.
- Integration Projects: Collaborate with team members to develop and integrate a veterans’ application with the management system, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor, optimize, and tune applications and reports for maximum performance. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of new and existing software.
- Documentation: Document daily progress, procedures, and activities, maintaining clear records for all development tasks. Ensure that all application and report documentation is up to date.
- User Support: Troubleshoot user-reported issues with applications and reports, providing timely resolution and feedback to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices, suggesting improvements to processes and systems as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in application development, including at least two years in a .NET development role.
- Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of .NET Core and Entity Framework Core frameworks.
- Proficiency in React, Next.js, and Material UI for front-end development.
- Strong programming skills in C# and familiarity with database systems like Postgres.
- Ability to create, debug, and optimize SQL queries effectively.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML for full-stack development.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GIT.
- Experience working with the Linux operating system and containers as a platform.
- AWS Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of AWS services and experience with AWS Lambda for cloud-based development.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
