Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Vision Alignment: Understand the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; align with business unit objectives.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of technical and business analysts, including selection, hiring, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders to identify their initiatives, design appropriate technology solutions, and oversee implementation across teams.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure the team’s execution of work is in line with established IT policies and procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Security, Operations, Business Intelligence, and Audit teams to contribute to the overall IT strategy.
- Business Process Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the organization’s business processes and related IT systems.
- Application Evaluation: Assess existing applications for optimization and recommend new tools and technologies.
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage simultaneous projects and teams to ensure successful outcomes.
- Vendor Management: Oversee vendor performance to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Strategic Input: Participate in strategy design sessions to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Directly manage a team and have significant indirect responsibilities in achieving work objectives.
- This role requires a player-coach who can strategically design a roadmap and execute key initiatives.
- Decision-making is guided by broad practices and procedures covered by functional precedents, policies, and professional standards.
- Contributes to the development of operating plans and budgets; may manage parts of the budget.
- Engage with complex problems requiring detailed analysis and extensive investigation.
- Ability to build consensus and be diplomatically influential, understanding others' roles and perspectives. Capable of selling projects and ideas internally and across the organization. Build cross-functional relationships to create results.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in system design or project management are a plus.
- Educational Requirements: BS/BA Degree in a related field preferred.
- Years of Experience: 10 years preferred; minimum 5 years required.
- Strong background in IT applications design, development, or management, preferably in distribution or manufacturing sectors.
- Excellent analytical skills and competency in T-SQL.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Leadership and project management capabilities.
