Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Endpoint Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Endpoint Protection & Security:
- Implement and configure endpoint protection solutions such as antivirus software, firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools, and other security technologies.
- Ensure regular application and enforcement of security patches, updates, and system hardening practices to minimize vulnerabilities in Windows environments.
- Implement and manage device encryption technologies (e.g., BitLocker) to secure data on end-user devices.
- Windows Desktop Management:
- Manage and configure Windows desktops using tools such as Microsoft Intune, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and other endpoint management platforms.
- Automate the deployment, updates, and patch management for Windows operating systems and applications, ensuring all systems are kept up-to-date and secure.
- Group Policy Management (GPO):
- Design, implement, and manage Group Policies (GPOs) to enforce security settings, configurations, and user policies across all endpoint devices.
- Troubleshoot and optimize GPOs to ensure they are functioning correctly and effectively across diverse environments.
- System Imaging & Configuration:
- Create and maintain standardized system images for desktop configurations using tools like Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and DISM.
- Manage OS installations, upgrades, migrations, and ensure all configurations are deployed consistently across all endpoints.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other teams to ensure seamless system integration, software deployment, and endpoint security management.
- Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders regarding project progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Senior Endpoint Engineer experience in a Windows environment, with a deep understanding of endpoint security and management.
- Proven experience in Group Policy Object (GPO) management, including creating and troubleshooting GPOs across large Windows environments.
- Strong configuration management and software deployment skills, with experience using tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, WDS, MDT, and DISM.
- Familiarity with Windows security best practices, including antivirus software, firewalls, EDR tools, patch management, and encryption.
- Experience with OS installations, upgrades, and migrations in enterprise environments.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Industry certifications in endpoint protection, security, or related areas (e.g., CompTIA Security , Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)) are a plus.
- Experience working with other endpoint management tools beyond Intune and SCCM is a plus.
