- Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures.
- Assure that clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., are distributed to designated areas as instructed
- Assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules for equipment are followed.
- Report all accidents/incidents in a timely manner to your supervisor.
- Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in
- Assist with department orientation training for new staff.
- Attend departmental and staff meetings.
- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment.
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
- Follow established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs.
- Ensure that infection control policies and procedures are maintained when performing laundry
- Discard sharps into designated container.
- Dispose of all types of refuse daily in accordance with established sanitation procedures.
- Ensure adequate laundry/linen supplies are maintained.
- Ensure that equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors,
- Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds,

Part-time Laundry aid 16-hours every weekend.
