What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band/Orchestra Salesperson position at Hauer Music?
Looking for a motivated salesperson to join one of the largest and oldest music stores in southwest Ohio. Hauer Music specializes in serving the needs of musicians across the Mid-West and the ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing the joys of making music, helping new musicians find their perfect instrument, and a desire to serve the Dayton and Mid-West music community.
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with purchase of new band or orchestra instrument
- Assist customers with music books/sheet music purchases
- Assist customers with accessory purchases related to band/orchestra
- Answer phone calls regarding band/orchestra instruments
- Taking in repairs for band/orchestra instruments
- Help stock/price/put away merchandise
- Writing up instrument rental contracts
- Taking in rental returns
- Communicating with local schools regarding band/orchestra needs
Requirements:
- Customer first mentality
- Sales oriented
- Basic knowledge and experience with computers
- Band or orchestra experience is highly preferred
- Retail sales experience necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
