Haugland Marine Service, a subsidiary of Haugland Group, has an immediate need for a full-time Laborer.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Marine Laborer to join our team. This position is essential in ensuring the efficient maintenance, inspection, and operation of our Tugs and Barges. The Marine Laborer will be responsible for maintenance and inspections of the barge fleet, as well as assisting with day to day operations and delivering parts and supplies to vessels.

Key Functions:
- Assisting with all facets of barge maintenance and repair.
- Barge inspections (internal and external). This includes but is not limited to: opening hatches, identifying new damage, checking fenders, dewatering compartments, completing inspection reports.
- Topside deck maintenance: repairing hatches, adding/replacing fenders, clearing debris off decks.
- Work closely with vessel crew members and shoreside support staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and securing heavy equipment, in various weather conditions.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment, ensuring personal safety and safety of the crew.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a marine or labor-intensive environment is preferred but not required.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to handle physical labor, including lifting heavy equipment and materials.
- Familiarity with Marine industry and equipment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
