Haumiller Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineer in our South Elgin, IL office. The Controls Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining electrical, pneumatic and software designs for automated assembly and testing equipment that meet the objectives of the concept and mechanical design specifications.
Haumiller Engineering is a 100% employee-owned company that designs and manufactures high speed automation assembly and test equipment for the life science, personal care and food and beverage industries.
What You Will Do :
- Analyze design requirements, generate schematic diagrams, create bills of material, develop PLC and HMI application software, and verify / validate designs through simulations and testing.
- Create clear and functional electrical, pneumatic and software designs that will meet the concept requirements and the quality, cost, and delivery needs of the end customer.
- Complete documentation that is required to efficiently communicate designs for external and internal use through the use of detail drawings, electrical & pneumatic schematics, programming and bills of materials.
- Correctly identify and communicate needed changes to tools (software, computers, and workspace, etc.) that eliminate repetitive concept / design errors or inefficiencies.
