JOB SUMMARY
The strategy Director (an HCP focused role), will work closely with Client Leadership and Strategic Communication Planners to manage and grow the client relationship. The Director has the primary responsibility to own and oversee tactical media planning activities on assigned accounts and will heavily collaborate with internal teams. The Director leads the team toward the overall account vision, creates new solutions for driving the business forward, and motivates team members to greater contributions. HCP or Pharma experience highly preferred!
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brings together different buying disciplines for integration across media.
- Supervises a group of media planning professionals responsible for media plan development.
- Serves as a key liaison among various media groups that contribute to the overall media plan development process.
- Ensures the timely development and execution of plans, campaigns, and projects.
- Responsible for the implementation and stewardship of all components of the media plan.
- Key day-to-day implementation contact for the Client Leadership team.
- Provides input on POVs for new or client requested opportunities.
- Set communications goals for each campaign or plan.
- Develops plan recommendations that delivers against strategic vision and channel allocation goals for plan implementation.
- Determines final budget allocation by medium, informed by any research or insight driven by media planning and taking into account the channel contact plan / brief.
- Responsible for media budgets based on client authorized spend.
- Provides leadership and motivation; conveys the vision and values of the Agency to their account teams.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- At least 6-8 years of combined experience in either an agency or marketing department.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage to deadlines.
- Demonstrated account leadership, initiative, and willingness to assume greater responsibility.
- Understand the elements of a strategic marketing communications plan and be able to actively participate in its generation.
- Understand all the steps necessary to complete each stage of a job.
- Understand how to produce a comprehensive estimate.
- Know how to present agency concepts to the client and guide client to well-considered responses and requests.
- Ability to provide clear and logical direction on all work orders.
- Ability to effectively communicate knowledge of assigned product(s).
The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000 annually, DOE.
