What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr. Staff Accountant position at Havas North America?
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and code AP invoices in digital workflow for multiple agencies daily, along with invoice entry/upload, as needed
• Follow-up with AP workflow approvers weekly to ensure AP invoices are approved timely, and to resolve any vendor invoice issues
• Monitor the AP email account and reply to vendor inquiries
• Create weekly AP check runs
• Monitor cash activity and create journal entries, as needed
• Assist in identifying aged AP/AR transactions
• Handle monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close functions for multiple business units. This includes accruals, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and identifying and reporting issues
• Assist other team members, as needed, to achieve monthly deadlines
• Assist with yearly audit requests
• Ad hoc requests, as assigned

• Well-versed in Microsoft Excel i.e., pivot tables, vlookups, formatting & working with data

Characteristics and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year work experience with an agency or an accounting firm
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance

The salary range for this role is $50K - $55K
