We're seeking a talented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you'll play a critical part in helping us deliver exceptional patient care while advancing your own career in a dynamic and growth-oriented organization.
About the Role:
- Perform clinical testing in assigned areas of the laboratory to aid in the diagnosis of disease, estimation of patient status, and determination of lifestyle and genetic effects on health.
- Specialize and/or assume responsibility for a specific section of the laboratory.
- Report to the Laboratory Manager and Director.
- Meet minimum qualifications as outlined below.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Earned an associate degree in laboratory science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- Education and training equivalent to that specified above, including at least 60 semester hours from an accredited institution with either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses; or 24 semester hours of science courses (including six semester hours of chemistry, six semester hours of biology, and twelve semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination).
- Laboratory training that includes completion of a clinical laboratory training program approved or accredited by the ABHES, CAHEA, or other organization approved by HHS; or at least three months documented laboratory training in each specialty in which the individual performs high complexity testing.
- ASCP, HEW, or equivalent certified Medical Laboratory Technician required within one year from date of hire.
