Grounds Keeper/ Janitorial
Position Summary
Havasu Riviera Marina is seeking a Janitorial/Grounds Keeper. This position is responsible for the daily upkeep of the facility restrooms, trash removal and upkeep of marina facility grounds including, but is not limited to, hands on service duties for all restroom facilities, trash removal from the docks, beaches and parking lots, and overall grounds/landscaping upkeep of the facility, and dock cleanliness. This position reports to the Marina Operations Manager.
General duties
- Perform all services and marina duties on a regular schedule, including but not limited to daily restroom upkeep. This includes cleaning of stalls, showers, sinks and related equipment. Replacement of paper products required for use.
- Removal of all trash from receptacles located throughout the marina and placed in designated dumpsters, cleaning of receptacles as needed.
- Grooming of the designated beaches, trimming of weeds and other duties assigned.
- Washing all docks and structures, marina vehicles/vessels, and any other request by a manager.
- Report any injuries to the Marina Manager & Security
- Must understand cleaning supplies and simple tools, ability use standard PPE, read and follow directions and instructions.
- You must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments with frequent exposure to extreme heat, wind, and cold.
- This position requires you to work weekends, holidays, and major events at the marina. Hours may change based on business needs and seasons.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each Employee Partner perform a multitude of different functions therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when occasions arise
- Adhere to all company, and marina written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc.
- Communicate effectively with proper grammar
- Wear a clean and neat uniform daily that follows Havasu Riviera Marina Dress Code standards
- Maintain the reputation of the marina and common areas as a clean and welcoming facility
- Ability to interact positively with supervisors, management, co-workers, guests, owners, and public with skills to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to produce work in a timely manner which is accurate, complete and of high quality
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to take initiative, work independently, and prioritize duties
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay based on experience. Starting at $16/hr
- Paid vacation days available
- Sick pay as required by Arizona State Law.

Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel or crouch. Ability to work outdoors withstanding temperature extremes and inclement weather; ability to climb, stoop and bend 50% of the time; also requires manual dexterity to operate equipment. Lift, carry, and reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise moves in a constantly changing environment. Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
Schedule
The nature of our business at the Havasu Riviera Marina requires all employees to work weekends. All applicants need to expect to work all summer holidays and Marina events.
- Federal and state working hours and vacation allowances will be respected, as a minimum.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of High School education (or current High School student), post-high school education preferred.
- CPR/First Aide Certification preferred.
- Proven track record of performing at the highest level of ethical work standards.
