Full job description
We are looking for a Security Officer to ensure the safety of our guests, employees and property. This position requires continuous patrols and documentation of shifts and general janitorial/maintenance duties. Position requires good customer service skills while ensuring safety and property policies are being followed.
Performance Standards/Duties include a variety of tasks including:
- Ensure safety/security of marina tenants and their Guests, other team members, and property.
- Enforce policies/procedures as directed by management.
- Without bias, accurately and factually document shift activities.
- Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Havasu Riviera Marina Employee Handbook.
- Ensure prompt and courteous service to all Guests to ensure that each Guest experience is distinctly supreme. Greet and assist guests with a friendly and engaged attitude.
- Effectively manage time and complete each of your assigned tasks as assigned by management.
- Meet or exceed all performance standards.
- Make safety and security patrols of property and facility as directed.
- Report any unusual situations management in a timely manner. These situations may include but are not limited to: emergencies of any type, criminal activity, and law enforcement presence.
- Investigate and assist with tenant and Guest concerns, incidents, accidents, and all emergencies.
- Complete Daily Activity Reports, Incident/Accident Reports, and Safety/Hazard Notification Reports.
- Deescalate any confrontations in a safe and calm manner. Must be able to make decisions in emergency situations that help in calming the situations and ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees and the facility.
- Complete janitorial and maintenance duties as assigned to include but not limited to cleaning restrooms, empty trash throughout the facility, dock maintenance as assigned, and any other reasonable task as assigned by management.
- Assist guests with golf cart rides to their vehicles, providing an outstanding guest experience.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with any company information and incidents that may occur on property.
Schedule
The nature of our business at the Havasu Riviera Marina requires all employees to work weekends. All applicants need to expect to work all summer holidays and Marina events.
- Federal and state working hours, required sick pay allowance, and vacation allowances will be respected, as a minimum.
- Overnight shifts
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
- Shifts may change based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Customer Service Oriented
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be at least 21 years old. High School graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to speak clearly, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in emergencies.
- Able to interpret, write, understand, and carry out written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions as needed.
- Capable of working both independently and effectively in a team setting
- The ability to effectively interface with all company departments and act professionally in a highly dignified manner.
- The ability to stand for long periods, walk throughout the property.
- The ability to pick up, carry, and move a package/object/equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to assist boaters with docking, fueling, and trailering.
- Positive attitude, outstanding customer service skills, and takes initiative.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- CPR/First Aid Certification Required and paid for by the marina.
