Job Summary:
- Assess patients for risk of danger to self or others at admission and ongoing throughout hospitalization
- Intervene appropriately with patients experiencing a behavioral crisis situation
- Participate in implementing individualized patient care plans
- Provide patient educational information for identified learning needs
- Facilitate educational/activity groups and recommend alternative activities based on patient functioning level and treatment plan
- Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians and assume Charge Nurse role when assigned
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Two years as Registered Nurse with one-year acute psychiatric experience preferred
