POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the supervision of the CEO of Outpatient Services, provides direct patient care. Assists with overall program operations, including fiscal and administrative management, marketing, and assisting in implementation of policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES :
- Appointment management; scheduling assessments, medication consultations and individual appointments as needed.
- Conduct daily appointment reminder calls.
- Maintain Front-End Log (tracking of collections, authorizations, and referrals)
- Collect patient copays and deductibles.
- Calculate patient financial liability using information obtained from the verification of benefits process.
- Assist patients with billing inquiries and insurance verification.
- Manage referrals by scheduling appointments to ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
- Accurately input patient information and clinical notes into the electronic health records system.
- Maintain and organize patient records, both physical and electronic documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of hospital employees and patient information to meet HIPPA and hospital standards.
Education : A Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience : 2 years' experience with outpatient psychiatric services preferred. Excellent organization, administrative and customer service skills. Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of insurance verification process. Familiarity with general healthcare facility compliance.
Certifications / Licenses : CPI / CPR Certified per policy
