Essential Responsibilities:
- Support residents in tasks of daily living such as cooking, eating, bathing, and cleaning
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for our residents
- Assist with social activities for residents e.g. community outings, holiday parties
- Provide transportation to medical appointments and community outings
- Remain aware and vigilant at all times to ensure the safety and security of each resident
- Implement and document Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for residents and support them in achieving their personal goals
- Assist in medication management as ordered by a licensed medical professional including administration and documentation
- Maintain accurate and quality documentation that follows company, state, and federal policies
- Participate in continuous learning and ongoing trainings to increase the quality of care for residents
- Effectively collaborate with all members of each resident’s care team, from family to medical staff
- Supportive services provided are as described in, but not limited to, the Oregon Administrative Rules
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience in developmental disability field preferred but not required
- Driver's license preferred but not required
- Be able to read/write and speak fluent English
- Be physically able to assist residents with bathing, cooking, cleaning, etc.
- Be computer literate or willing to learn electronic documentation
- Be able to pass DHS / Criminal History Background Check
- Maintain CPR/AED and Oregon Intervention Systems (OIS) certification (paid training is provided)
