Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, dried, and pressed to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of service in our hotel environment and contributes significantly to guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and pressing machines to clean and finish linens and garments.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron various items according to established procedures.
- Ensure that all items are cleaned according to hotel standards for quality and hygiene.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.
- Handle dry cleaning processes as required, ensuring proper treatment of delicate fabrics.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and garments to guest rooms and public areas.
- Follow safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, particularly in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as necessary.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
