With a strong brand presence and a loyal guest base, we’re expanding our reach across CT and beyond by adding a food truck to generate incremental sales at events, support our existing catering program, and participate in community and marketing events —and we need an expert to take it to the next level!
Events Manager
Haven Hot Chicken Events Managers are dynamic, highly organized, and results-driven leaders. They support the mission of the organization by generating revenue, managing operations, and ensuring a top-tier guest experience across all off-premise channels.
Responsibilities
- Increase brand awareness and drive revenue growth through:
- Overseeing food truck operations across event scheduling, execution, and evaluation
- Manage end-to-end catering operations across the existing footprint, ensuring seamless execution from order intake to delivery
- Be an ambassador for Haven Hot Chicken to companies and communities across Connecticut by executing marketing and awareness campaigns
- Establish and maintain corporate and community relationships to build a strong pipeline of recurring catering jobs, marketing events, and sales opportunities
- Track and report on sales metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, service, and guest interactions across all off-premise channels.
- Manage multiple event projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring successful event outcomes.
- Lead and manage a team of employees that delivers quality across all Haven’s Standards of Excellence.
- Live HHC mission and values to ensure the culture outlined is seen, heard, and felt.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
- Strong sales mindset with a track record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—someone who can build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Passion for food and hospitality—bonus points if you love hot chicken!
- A strong understanding of food safety standards and procedures, Serv Safe Certified.
Requirements
- Proven experience (3 years) in catering, food truck management, event planning, or hospitality sales.
- Experience with event logistics, catering software, and CRM tools..
- Be flexible to work morning and night shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Food handlers certification
- Able to work 50 - 55 hours a week.
- Be able to travel 80% of the time.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, able to lift up to 25 pounds and on occasion 50 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $65,000 - $75,000
- Bonus Plan
- Time Off: 10 PTO, 5 sick and 5 flex days per year
