Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, and specialty practices. As an LPN, you will work closely with registered nurses and physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective nursing practices and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians.
- Assist in the assessment and monitoring of patients' health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including pain management and acute pain management strategies.
- Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic evaluations to support patient care decisions.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients leaving the facility.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, including botulinum toxin treatment when applicable.
- Support pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as needed.
Experience
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Experience in laboratory procedures, sonography, or similar fields is a plus.
- Familiarity with acute pain management techniques and protocols.
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and diagnostic evaluation methods.
- Previous experience working with pain management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
