Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Admissions to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of patients during the admissions process, ensuring that each individual receives the highest quality of care. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission, including medical history and current health status.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Utilize knowledge in primary care, emergency medicine, and medical-surgical nursing to evaluate patient conditions effectively.
- Perform MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments as required.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and care plans.
- Assist with triage processes to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and care provided during the admissions process.
- Support patients with disabilities by adapting care practices to meet their unique needs.
Experience
Candidates should possess a valid nursing license and have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Primary care
- Emergency medicine
- Operating room (OR) settings
- MDS assessments
- Medical-surgical nursing
- Dialysis procedures
- Infection control practices
- Working with individuals with disabilities
- Travel nursing experience is a plus
- Triage experience
