CULTIVATION MANAGER

Your role will be pivotal in overseeing the cultivation team and processes at one of our modern facilities dedicated to pushing the limits of indoor cannabis yields. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain plant environment variables in optimal ranges
  • Such as: PAR, light schedule, temperature, humidity, VPD, water content, oxygen availability, pH, nutrition, air movement, and pest pressure.
  • Lead and manage the cultivation team:
  • a) Schedule the daily work priorities for team members.
  • b) Supervise cultivation tasks from clone through harvest to ensure they are performed optimally and per our SOPs.
  • c) Train and coach new and existing cultivation team members as needed.
  • Monitor plant health and make adjustments to the plant environments as necessary
  • Monitor the environments and adjust the environmental control systems
  • Monitor and schedule daily irrigation events
  • Manage the cultivation schedule to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment is maintained
  • Manage the team during weekends and holidays as required
  • The cultivation manager is supported by
  • a) An engineering team for equipment maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • b) A plant science team led by a PhD horticultural advisor.
  • c) A human resources department
  • d) Other cultivation managers

VALUED EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 3 years of cultivation experience (indoor or greenhouse).
  • Minimum 2 years management experience, including direct supervision of 10 people.
  • Knowledge of plant physiology and morphology
  • Knowledge of crop irrigation/fertigation
  • Knowledge of environmental control
  • Knowledge of commercial cultivation
  • Knowledge of plant diseases and pests

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • On-site work on a Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday schedule
  • Physical aptitude is necessary to perform manual labor tasks sometimes required
  • Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching
  • Close visual focus is required.
  • Extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to cut and manipulate small objects.
  • Required to lift objects regularly, and perform daily repetitive tasks
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for 100 feet.
