Welcome to Haven, a cozy two-story restaurant located right off State Street at 430 West Gilman Street in the heart of Madison, WI. With its bright, inviting atmosphere and thoughtfully designed spaces, Haven is the perfect spot for casual get-togethers, celebrations, or an evening out.
Our menu is centered around a creative blend of global and modern American flavors, bringing together the best of culinary traditions to offer something truly special. We’re proud to offer an extensive selection of beverages, including fine teas served in beautifully crafted tea ware, freshly brewed coffee, and specialty drinks. For those seeking something more spirited, we also provide a curated selection of beer, wine, and handcrafted mixed drinks. We’re excited to offer karaoke for a fun and lively night out.
Haven offers a range of services, including dining, drink service, private party reservations, and more. As we prepare for our grand opening in late February, we are also exploring plans to extend our hours for late-night dining in the future.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team. We’re hiring for servers, bartenders, and bussers who share our passion for exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide warm, welcoming service to all guests.
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and serve drinks to customers following standard recipes.
- Deliver orders accurately, including food, beverages, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area, dinning area, and equipment.
- Check customers’ identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
- Upsell additional products when appropriate.
- Assist with private parties and event setups.
- Follow instructions and complete all prep and side works.
- Manage to-go orders and phone inquiries.
Qualifications
- Friendly, respectful, and energetic.
- Passion for customer service and teamwork.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- For servers and bartenders: At least one year of restaurant experience is required.
- For bussers: Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required.

- Servers and Bartenders (Base Tips): Minimum starting wage of $20/hour (full-time) and $18/hour (part-time).
