Director of Maintenance
Summary/Objective:
The Director of Maintenance is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within the organization. This position requires a proactive leader who can manage and maintain facilities to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, project management skills, and experience in facilities management. The Director of Maintenance will lead a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify areas needing repair or improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain schematics and documentation related to facility systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards within all maintenance activities.
- Implement recommendations from the Infection Control, Safety, and QA Committees, etc., as directed/necessary.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, project statuses, and team performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance management or facilities management.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with schematics related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility systems.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications For the Director of Maintenance:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous LTC/SNF experience
- Previous Maintenance experience.
