Position Overview
Havenova Home Care Solutions is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated In-Home Care Professionals to assist our clients—ranging from seniors to individuals with disabilities or special needs—within the comfort of their own homes. This inclusive role encompasses responsibilities found in Live-In Care Aides, Home Care Companions, Homemakers, and Personal Care Attendants. Responsibilities
Personal Care & Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs.
Help with mobility and safe transfer (e.g., from bed to chair).
Monitor vital signs (under supervision) and remind clients to take prescribed medications.
Companionship & Emotional Support
Offer conversation, reading, and game-playing to keep clients mentally engaged.
Also, we are seeking a compassionate and experienced Dementia Care Specialist to provide personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of dementia and its various stages, as well as the ability to implement person-centered care approaches that prioritize the individual's well-being and quality of life.
Provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery store and errands.
Accompany clients to social outings, recreational activities, or medical appointments.
Provide emotional reassurance and foster a warm, nurturing environment.
Homemaking & Household Tasks
Perform light housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, and laundry.
Change bed linens, wash dishes, and maintain a clean living space.
Organize mail, assist with correspondence, and help plan daily activities.
Meal Planning & Preparation
Develop nutritious meal plans suited to dietary restrictions.
Prepare and serve meals; store leftovers safely.
Assist clients who need help with feeding.
Transportation & Errands
Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping, or other errands, as needed (if authorized).
Run essential errands, such as picking up prescriptions or groceries.
Observation & Reporting
Monitor clients’ physical and mental conditions, noting and reporting any significant changes.
Maintain accurate daily records of activities, observations, and hours of service.
Communicate promptly with supervisors and healthcare professionals when concerns arise.
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a healthy and secure home environment (e.g., check for fall hazards).
Adhere to the client’s household rules and respect their personal preferences.
Follow Havenova Home Care Solutions’ policies, procedures, and industry best practices (including confidentiality).
Attend orientation, in-service trainings, and staff meetings to stay current with care standards.
Live-In Responsibilities (When Applicable)
Provide “around-the-clock” support for clients preferring extended on-site care.
Coordinate with the client for mutually suitable breaks.
Maintain close communication with the supervisory team regarding schedules and any urgent client needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education/Certification:
Home Care or Personal Care certification preferred (requirements may vary by state).
Current First Aid and CPR certifications are highly desirable.
Experience:
Experience in caregiving, home care, hospitality, or customer service is beneficial.
Live-In roles may require prior in-home care experience.
Licensing:
Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if job duties include driving).
Vehicle Insurance Coverage suitable for work usage, if using your own vehicle.
Skills & Knowledge:
Home Management: General housekeeping, cooking, meal planning, grocery shopping.
Personal Care:
Understanding proper techniques for bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene support.
Communication: Ability to read, write, and effectively discuss client care with supervisors, clients, and families.
Observation: Recognize and report changes in clients’ physical or mental health.
Problem-Solving:
Identify issues and propose workable solutions, remaining calm under pressure.
Personal Attributes:
Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a care team.
Willingness to adhere to confidentiality, boundaries, and professional ethics.
Physical & Mental Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift moderate weights (in assisting with transfers or homemaking tasks).
Mental stability and resilience to handle the emotional aspects of caregiving.
Physical stamina to perform duties throughout shifts (including overnight for live-in positions).
Comfortable driving in various weather and traffic conditions (if applicable).
