Havenview Residential Communities is looking for an Residential Painter and Maintenance Technician for our luxury properties located in Omaha, NE.
Brief description of Role:
The ideal candidate will have experience within the maintenance and property management industry, and the ability to demonstrate superior customer service.
Key Accountabilities for this Role:
General responsibilities include:
- Frequent communication with the General Maintenance Manager and the Property Managers regarding timelines and project updates.
- Always Adhering to Havenview Residential Communities safety standards.
- Prepare and paint interior surfaces of residential units, including walls, ceilings, trim, and doors.
- Patch and repair minor drywall damage as needed before painting.
- Ensure all painted surfaces are clean, smooth, and properly primed.
- Select and mix paint to match existing colors or as specified.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring minimal disruption to the property.
Knowledge, Experience, Education Requirements:
- True “people person” with passion for maintenance and property management with the highest degree of professionalism at all times.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule. Some overtime/on-call services may be required.
- Superior time management skills with the ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Thrive while working in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential painting maintenance a similar role.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to travel between properties.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Job duties require employees to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and use repetitive motion on a daily basis.
- Proficiency in using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Familiarity with paint types, finishes, and surface preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
- Has the ability to work at various heights, including climbing ladders to complete work as needed.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong skills in frame carpentry, remodeling, and construction painting.
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with masonry techniques including stucco application is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
