Havenwood Academy is looking for a conscientious and personable individual to join their team as a Stabilization Unit Manager (Team Lead) working with teen girls who are trauma survivors.

The Stabilization Unit Manager’s job responsibilities and requirements:
- Supervise girls from age 12 through 17 who have difficult and traumatic histories
- Plan, and guide the girls on, activities such as outdoor and cultural opportunities and other enriching activities
- Help stabilize and support girls who are releasing trauma
- Demonstrating to and modeling for the girls, honesty, integrity and other important values
- Strictly follow directions including and especially safety related policies
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a TB test
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum of 20 years old
The responsibilities of the Stabilization Unit Manager (team lead) include but are not limited to the following:
- Work a full time schedule each week as agreed upon by employee and company;
- Manage and train a team of at least 2-3 staff members;
- Manage the safety stabilization unit within our facility, to keep the clients safe;
- Supervise female clients from ages 12 through 17 who have difficult and traumatic histories;
- Help stabilize clients who are working through trauma;
- Keep the kids safe when they are releasing trauma, and in a negative headspace;
- Teach positive coping skills to replace negative ones;
- Mentor and teach life skills and deliver quality programming to the girls;
- Plan and Shepherd the clients on activities and groups such as art, active, and cultural opportunities and other enriching activities;
- Develop healthy relationships with the girls that demonstrate positive boundaries and allow the girls to develop trust in you as a person and mentor;
- Demonstrating to and model for the clients honesty, integrity and other important values; and
- Strictly follow directions including and especially safety related policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of incidents, observations, and interactions with residents.
Team leads will receive training and de-escalation, CPR/first aid, food handling as well as other ongoing and relevant training.
COMPENSATION
- An hourly rate of 19.00 per hour. Raises are given every six months. At each review, staff who are highest performing based on their 360 review are issued raises of $.30 per hour. Staff who are performing their duties as indicated in their job description are issued raises of $.20 per hour.
- On-call bonus opportunity of $100 per week for staff who sign up to participate on the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
- 401K plan eligibility after 3 months of employment for full time staff.
- PTO accrual after six months of employment; accruing at the rate of 1.54 hours per 40 hours worked.
- Health insurance eligibility on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. Havenwood covers 75% of the cost of the bronze level plan for full time employees (minimum 30 hours per week)
