Under general supervision of the Director of Health Information Management and in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations, processes medical information.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Director of Health Information Management and in accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations, processes medical information.

Processes medical information to facilitate completion of post discharge medical record chart:
- Assembles charts into standard chart sequance.
- In accordance with hospital, state, and federal regulations, analyzes charts to identify documentation deficiencies requireing reconcilliation.
- Files documents into charts.
- Utilizing manual and electronic information systems, inputs pertinent data for qualify monitoring (performance improvement) and information tracking.

Utilizing manaual and electronic information systems:
- Abstracts pertinent data/charts for qualify monitoring and reimbursement.
- Retrieves information/reports/charts for patient care.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma requires, associate degree in healthcare field preferred.
- At least two (2) years of healthcare work experience required.
- Knowledge of medical and psychiatrica terminology preferred.
- Proficient in English grammar and composition required.
